Hey blog world, its been awhile again but heres a short vid of the animation we have been working. This video in NO means is the final version. There is alot that still has to be done. As mentioned before the final product will be around 10 mins and will have alot more action and the story will be more in depth. We had to put something together for one of our classes so this is what we had at that time. I also wanted to mention we did do all the voices and made the music minus the tool song. Like I said there will be more and it will be better quality. Enjoy!

Alrighty Folks,

Here are some stills from our up and incoming project that my friends and I are working on currently. Its called "KOTH of the CONANS". I don't wanna say too much so I don't spoil anything but the project is well underway and everything is coming out great! When everyone finally sees the project all I can say is that its gonna be a ride and its something that you've never seen before, the animation world is in for a treat. The project is 100% digital, everything is hand drawn using the Wacom. No cheap stuff, no symbols, were keeping this project strictly traditional as we will continue to do so in the future with other projects. That's how they animated back in the golden ages and that's how we intend on keeping things to get the best result possible.

We're pretty much making a pilot and in the end the animation should be around 10-12 min.

Everything will be animated in Flash we are using flash to its full potential. The other day I read an article talking about how flash was being used for a project the way its supposed to be used, opposed to it being used to do a cel animation. Well i feel like a professional cel animation can be done in a timely manner as long as you have a great team of artists to work with, and people who genuinely love animation. I think puppeting is a cheap way to do animation. A nice hand drawn animation can be done all it takes is hard work and dedication.

Anyways, I think Ive probably said enough for now as more animation is completed ill try to post some more stuff up here so you can check it out. All the backgrounds are done so next week ill post some of those or something and more of my own stuff is on the way also.

Please give me your honest opinions on what you think about the project so far. As David Gemmill always says and like many of us out there who are trying to do our best, lets bring back real cartoons and real animation!

Sorry that I havent posted anything in quite some time. Not to long ago I had major computer
problems specifically a virus which screwed me over for quite some time. Anyway im coming back got some great stuff in store for you guys. Me and six of my friends from school are working on an animation project and I cant wait to show everyone, its going to blow your socks off. I know im late but Happy Birthday to an amazing artist Mr. Pedro Vargas. Last night I sat down and finally drew some new stuff with a "PENCIL "and its just amazes me how wondeful a pencil can be. Im either working in the computer or with a pen, I think I need to start picking up a pencil more often. Anyway heres some of Pedros characters which are alot of fun to draw and some doodly doos. An early Merry Christmas to all my blogger friends out there!!! Im excited that my quarter for school is almost over so I finally can get a break kinda. lol. But anyway next year will bring some really cool stuff to this blog. Im going to be working on a rotoscoping project for a film that is live action but has a little rotoscoping in it. And im also starting my own rotoscoping project which is gonna be really cool when its all finished. Ill also try to put up some of my animations, and hopefully, hopefully I can put a comic up that im working on here and there. Ill be graduating before you now it so im really busy with portfolio stuff and what not, but ill find time to update this blog as much as possible for all you bloggers who read and look at my stuff. Here is some fan art that I did for Nick Cross and Troy Littles project there working on called Angora Napkin for teletoon. Hopefully Teletoon picks the show up. Nick and Troy are putting together some really nice stuff on their blogs, and also the angora napkin blog. Check it out if you havent already.

I was gonna ink and color many of the drawings I did, but I continued working on other stuff I had. Ill work on these in the future. I had some really cool ideas planned out for what the final pictures would look like all colored and inked.
I also just remembered that there was one more pic that I forgot to put up ill post it later.

I think Mallory is my favorite character. I dont know much about her, but I just the love the design for her.(Forgot to finish the drum)

Well since Halloween is around the corner I thought that I would try to come up with some kind of halloween character but make him my own. So I can up with this Frankenstien character you see below. Alot of these drawings I feel are crappy because they are many of the first drawings I did, but I have some better final drawings that I will post in a couple of days. Hes changed alot since i first drew him, but you will have to wait and see what the final outcome is. Anyway got more frankenstien and other crap coming so stick around.

I was checking Johns blog out the other day and i noticed the new post he put up about generic chuck jones drawings. As I scrolled down I was amazed at how beautiful the drawings were so immediately I wanted to draw so I picked a couple of poses that I liked and thought were interesting and started drawing. I really wanted to study the poses and the construction of the characters and try to apply them to the Jimmy and George Drawings that I did. I think they turned out ok but there are tiny problems that need to be fixed. I wanted to draw even more poses, but its really early and I have to work on some other stuff later today. So I gotta get some sleep hopefully the other stuff I have to work on I can get alot done real soon. When I take another break from doing stuff ill try to post even more poses and also my own characters.

The gun needs to be tilted higher and I changed little subtleties throughout the drawing

Georges head should be slopped up more in the back, and the front of his forehead should be facing down a little more. I dont really like this drawing very much. Definitely my least favorite.

For my Business Law class we had to draw some kind of dispensing hat. Were learning about copyright and patenting right now. So this is what I came up with, the chewless'O'matic. Since Americans seem to be getting lazier, and lazier. I thought why not make a hat where you dont even have to chew anymore. You just put the food into the blender right above your head. Then press the green button on the remote that comes with the hat, done forget there are 6 different speeds depending how mushes up you want your food to get, and whallah. NO MORE CHEWING!! The food will gently glide down a tube attached to the hat and into your mouth and down your throat. I also way say another great thing about the hat is that straw that you drink from its flexible and comes in an assortment of colors. Lets live up to the new American Dream and continue being lazy forever!

OH yeah I also want to say that I think I might do a little animation about this down the road. Soon ill be posting a animation that I made for class, its ok but I still gotta lot of stuff to learn when its comes to animating.

Instead of cleaning up these drawings yeaterday I accidently redrew every single one. That was dumb on my part it was more work but thats ok, because im here to learn and take evrything in. So having to go clean them up now is no big problem.

I tell you one thing though I learned so much just from redrawing everything. Just being able to clean even more drawings would be awesome. I know that I would learn alot from cleaning up Jims drawings. I have his sketchbooks and by just studying those drawings I have learned alot.

Anyway im going to go back now and clean the actual drawings up. Ill post those very soon.

The Jim Smith drawings are just awesome to look at. My favorite is Goerge sitting on the fridge anyway, back to drawing and stuff.

More Layout Poses

And heres my drawing. I thought I would strecth it even more.

I need to go back and do this drawing again. I wanted him to get really squished but it still looks a little to much like the Key pose.

This drawing is ok, but the left arm could be a tad bit longer, and the same goes for his left foot, I was trying not to put them so close together that way you could read the drawing, and so that

it didnt look to cluttered.

I like this squash but I still think it could be better.
This drawing is ok, I was trying to get George to turn. I wanted everything to connect to the next key pose, it still needs work.

Some of these layout poses are the ones that John k drew, the others poses are ones that I came up with.
John said that my hands, head, and arms were to short. I tried to fix that in the poses but some of the arms and hands are still a little to short. I just need to make them a little bit longer that way you can read the poses better. Ill keep practicing and post some more poses again later.

I when was at the art store the other day, I saw that they had brown colored skecthbooks . I asume that this is what Kali also has. So I picked one up and tried it out. Its really fun coloring on well colored paper.

Im finally back to posting some new stuff again its been awhile but i got some nice drawings to put up.
I read some of john k old theories and lessons and alot of his recent posts and ive really been
trying to stick to what he is teaching over at his blog. Theres alot to take in but ive been
praticing alot and i will continue to practice his lessons. And i have to say when you use construction when drawing its really good and hepls a ton. I knew that it helped but i never really realized how much until recently. Its great and i will continue starting my drawings out by using construction and also line of action.

Here are a couple of drawings where I really tried to make everything flow, and use organic shapes for the bushes and tree. I tried to use a good amount of negative space, not to much detail and space everything nicely within the picture. I think they turned out ok, there are things i need to fix so ill continue working on these pics. I also made George kind bigger i wanted to bring out the man inside of him. You just have to be free when your out in nature.

Here is Rex Hackelbergs pic he drew. Im assuming this secene will be in the new geroge liquor animation , but anyway i wanted to take a shot drawing this scene my way. I think it turned out good minus the batteries holding the picture down. I didnt have any tape, to tape the drawing down so i had to use batteries they were the closest thing around. I used alot of construction in this drawing and it helped alot. Let me know what you think of the drawing.

OH yeah sorry for the bad images, im on break from school so im not near my scanner. So i have to use my camera again, ill probably have to repost the pictures later.

I have to fix this picture below. I have George holding Jimmy in his hands, but i think im going to switch it out with a fishing pole or something.

I came up with this funny idea about Slab and Ernie. After returning home from school one day Slab and Ernie bring those packets you always get every year during school for selling chocolate and other candy goodies, well George finds out and he thinks its a load of crap. Selling candy to get kiddy prizes. Thats not ok with him . So George puts them to work at the George Liquor store because they need to know what its like to work a real job, and make some real money not toys. So he puts them to work, as Slab works inside, George sends Ernie outside in a Mascot Costume representing the store, shortly after Slab joins Ernie outside to help promote and get people to buy stuff inside the store. Thats as far as i got so far. I just know alot of hijinks and shenanigans will go on as they try to figure out a way to make some real money and work hard like a true american.

Here are my many BG drawings that I did. John you told me that i needed to have more negative space within the drawings so this is my second attempt. Im already starting to learn alot and I will continue drawing more and more BG's. I'm having lots of fun and I really enjoy coming up with different BG's and just being able to sit down and just draw and challenge myself .

I working really hard and im trying my best, by no means am I a professional right now, but Ill do whatever it takes and work really hard to help me reach my goals. If your looking for a hard worker well John im the man for the job and ill do my best and put in the time. You mentioned inking and im interested and willing to learn. Well as the title says I kinda went on a drawing spree of George Liquor. I have to say I had alot of fun practicing George and coming up with new and funny ideas. He is really fun to draw and he has alot of personality. I think I've done a fine job of bringing the essence of George out in my doodles. I also drew a couple of Backgrounds I think they turned ok as well. Anyway heres George.

Im really mad because my girlfriends scanner is the worst scanner ever, it keeps making the paper look weird. George was cut off because her scanner is smaller or something. Ill have to repost these lateR, when I get back home and us my scanner. It really sucks that the images have lost some of there quality. Sorry John K.
This was the first George i drew in flash during class while my teacher was talking its an ok drawing for the first go. Like I said it was my first and it was from memory.

After the long wait, its finally over. Here are some various doodles i did during class while the teacher was talking and some stuff from the good ol sketch book. Heres a really funny Sylvester Stallone and a horrible Arnold. Hey it was the first drawing of him I did.

I dont know whats up with me lately but I've really been into drawing SpongeBob. What can I say hes fun to draw.A girl who really loves anime in one of my classes from last quarter.

just wanted to put this page up here because i really like Cannel Frederator and I think they do alot for the animation world and for people who just really like to draw and have fun. Oh and drinking and drawing is one of the best ideas ever.

Having fun at IHOP. My girlfriend drew spongebob too hes the one with the karate outfit on.

Ive been meaning to start this whole blog thing for awhile now just been busy with school and what not and I also wanted the right picture to post for my first well post. So after finally cleaning and finding old art in my room. My mom found some old art too that I did back in the day. I finally found a picture from when I was a child that I really liked. Its a ninja turtle that I drew when I was younger I dont know what age I was, ill have to ask my mom but I love this drawing its so funny to look at. I liked ninja turtles alot when I was a kid I think I had everything ninja turtles pajamas toys the whole shibang whoever you spell that. Anyway im going to quit writing and actually put the picture up now.

Well heres my first post im very excited about this whole Blog thing. Ill post some new doods tommorow.
